There are many different fitness techniques, which is why it's best to be sure to pick a technique that you're comfortable with and fits well into your lifestyle. There are some key ingredients in any exercise regiment, such as running, yoga, weight lifting, and pilates. There's no one-size-fits-all solution for staying healthy and fit!

An easy way to stay fit is by incorporating these three elements into your day:
A quick walk before breakfast. This can provide you with just the right amount of movement necessary to start the day off right.
Running outdoors or on a treadmill for ten minutes every hour on hour during your workday. Do this in place of a quick walk. You can burn more calories during this time than you could during your walk.
Yoga for half an hour at lunchtime. This will give your muscles the rest they need for strength and flexibility, so they can be ready for your workday.
A 30 minutes (or more) weight training session at night before bed. Don't worry about exercising for too long; specifically, trying to build up muscle mass overnight will only cause the body to become less efficient in general and cause injury, which is the last thing you want!
The easiest way to get started with working out is by picking a fitness technique that you're comfortable with and something that fits into your lifestyle. This way, you can get something out of it and continue going.
Don't forget to warm up and stretch, especially after you've just finished your workout! If you exercise vigorously enough, your muscle fibers will tear. It's important to stretch the muscles out as soon as possible so that scar tissue doesn't build up and cause injury. If you don't properly stretch before and after your session, then you're bound to injure yourself in the future, which is the last thing that you want.
Slow down as much as possible when performing yoga poses or strength training; the speed of execution isn't nearly as important as avoiding injury.
